Sony Ericsson 100 (NASDAQ 100)
Limousine transportation for Key Biscayne Tennis
Sony Ericsson 100 Open is currently the sponsored name of the Miami’s annual tennis tournament – The Miami Masters. Held in March, the tournament is open for men and women and it is often held at the Tennis Center of Crandon Park in one of bustling communities in the Miami metropolitan area – Key Biscayne, Florida. It is part of The Master’s Series of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and the Tier I event.
In its early years, the event was known as the Lipton International Players Championships. However, when the tournament changed its sponsors in the year 2000, the event was renamed as Ericsson Open. Two years after, the event again changed its name to NASDAQ-100 Open. A new sponsorship deal in 2007 later modified the tournament name to Sony Ericsson Open.
Most sports enthusiasts regard the tournament as the “sixth most prestigious event” among the tours initiated by ATP and the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). This Tennis Open ranks just after the four Grand Slams and the Tennis Masters Cup / WTA Tour Championships.
It is also among the few tournaments which involves 96 men and 96 women competing for the singles competition, and 32 teams competing in each of the doubles category. The 12-day Sony Ericsson 100 event also lasts longer than most tennis competitions.
The hype and excitement for this tournament will definitely attract millions of tennis fanatics from many parts of the globe. Since it is only just a couple of months away, enthusiasts should check the event’s official website for tickets. Reserving a reliable transport service – a limo, perhaps – should be considered.
